Our CAN Telematics Gateway is advanced version of CAN bus gateway device that bridges the gap between vehicle systems and advanced telematics platforms. The gateway connects to the vehicle's CAN bus, accessing real-time data for onboard diagnostics and predictive maintenance applications.
CAN telematics gateway can be configured with the suitable DBC file which defines the structure of CAN messages and information for decoding the physical values. Telematics gateway captures raw CAN data (IDs and payloads) transmitted on the CAN bus by various vehicle tracking system. The gateway identifies messages by matching their CAN IDs with the IDs defined in the DBC file. Using the DBC file, the gateway decodes the raw data into meaningful signals (e.g., speed, engine RPM, temperature). The decoded and transmitted data are show in a PreciCloud cloud dashboard.
A customized cloud dashboard for viewing the acquired data from anywhere at any time. Support for remote device configuration, OTA firmware upgrade and email/SMS notification. Secure login with option for setting customized dashboard view for different users.
Configure the CAN bus, cloud and data acquisition/upload interval settings using our customized configurator tool "PreciCon" has context menu. Support for both Windows and Linux. Option to upload the DBC file for decoded physical value.
Durable, robust IP40 rated ABS plastic enclosure can withstand the toughest automotive and industrial conditions. Simply connect the device to CAN bus via 4-wire connections and rigidly screw your adapter with available flange arrangement.
With its compact design and cellular connectivity, the gateway is ideally suitable for telematics and predictive maintenance of a vehicle!

CAN telematics gateway connects to a vehicle's onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) port or CAN bus system to acquire vehicle vital data. The gateway captures raw diagnostic data and uses DBC file to convert raw data into actionable information. It differs from CAN bus gateway in a way that it can decode the raw frames and provide the human readable physical values.
Using public cellular network (4G/2G), the telematics gateway transmits diagnostic and operational data to the fleet management system. These protocols ensure reliable and secure data flow. The transmitted data can be analyzed in PreciCloud dashboard. This enables: Real-time vehicle health monitoring, and immediate alerts for critical faults.

To plan an appropriate trip, electric car drivers must be aware of their battery's health, charge level, and the location of the nearest charging station. Telematics gateways with a variety of onboard features and wired and wireless interfaces can provide useful data for improving the vehicle program. Our CAN telematics gateways can collect information on vehicle performance, driver behavior, and maintenance needs, allowing for better decision-making and optimization of fleet operations. Additionally, the data gathered can also be used to enhance safety measures and reduce overall costs associated with vehicle management.

A CAN Telematics Gateway is a device that connects a vehicle’s CAN bus (Controller Area Network) with external telematics systems (e.g., cloud platforms, or mobile apps). It collects, filters, translates, and transmits vehicle data (such as speed, fuel level, battery status, fault codes, GPS location) over cellular communication.
